UAH 17.7 billion received by farmers this year under the Affordable Loans at 5-7-9 programme

Since the beginning of the year, 6,571 agricultural enterprises have received UAH 42.3 billion in bank loans for development. Of these, under the Government’s Affordable Loans at 5-7-9 programme, 3,878 enterprises received UAH 17.7 billion in loans.

Farmers in the following regions received the largest amount of loans under various programmes:

• Kyiv region – UAH 12.7 billion (615 enterprises);
• Kirovohrad region – UAH 2.7 billion (811);
• Ternopil region – UAH 2.6 billion (259);
• Dnipropetrovsk region – UAH 2.5 billion (475);
• Lviv region – UAH 2.47 billion (394);
• Vinnytsia region – UAH 2.3 billion (629);
• Poltava region – UAH 2.2 billion (369);
• Odesa region – UAH 2.1 billion (529);
• Kharkiv region – UAH 1.8 billion (373).

Under the Affordable Loans at 5-7-9 programme, the largest amount of loans was provided to enterprises in the following regions:

• Kyiv region – UAH 2.3 billion (362 enterprises);
• Kirovohrad region – UAH 1.8 billion (524);
• Vinnytsia region – UAH 1.6 billion (393);
• Kharkiv region – UAH 1.6 billion (244);
• Odesa region – UAH 1.2 billion (340);
• Volyn region – UAH 1 billion (211);
• Dnipropetrovsk region – UAH 981.1 million (233).

Background

Concessional financing for agricultural producers under the Affordable Loans at 5-7-9 programme in 2024-2025 is made possible with the support of the World Bank under the Ukraine Agriculture Recovery Inclusive Support Emergency (ARISE) Project. The programme facilitates access to bank lending for micro and small businesses. Farmers can receive a loan of up to UAH 90 million. Loans are granted at 5-9% per annum, depending on the loan category and type of business entity.
