The Government has extended its support program for Ukrainian farmers. 139 agricultural producers who passed the competitive selection process in 2025 under the “Loans to Farming Enterprises” program will receive UAH 124.1 million from the state for the development and diversification of production. This was announced by Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko.

The Head of Government emphasized that support for farmers is the basis of the country’s food security. It is particularly important that the funding is arriving precisely during the spring planting season, which has already begun in 17 regions. For many farms, this is an opportunity to get out into the fields on time, carry out all necessary work, and maintain production.

The Prime Minister noted that this year, land cleared through humanitarian demining is also being returned to cultivation. More than 15,000 hectares have already been prepared for sowing by farmers, particularly in the Kharkiv, Mykolaiv, and Kyiv regions.

“In 2026, UAH 220 million from the special fund have been allocated for the program. We will be able not only to provide funding to the farmers who won last year’s competition, but also to continue supporting farms in other areas,” Yulia Svyrydenko said.

She noted that other support mechanisms remain in place: grants for orchards and greenhouses, compensation for equipment, irrigation development, agricultural insurance, and assistance to farmers in frontline regions.
