In August, agricultural producers received UAH 61.6 million in compensation for Ukrainian-made agricultural machinery and equipment purchased in July. The relevant order was approved by the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine. This was announced by Yuliia Svyrydenko, First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy of Ukraine.
“During the four months of this programme, farmers have received UAH 152.6 million in compensation for purchased agricultural machinery and equipment made in Ukraine. The programme, in addition to supporting farmers, is also a tool for the development of Ukrainian machine building, as it stimulates an increase in the number of domestic agricultural machinery manufacturers. The programme currently includes 121 manufacturers, and the number of products is over 11,000. Compensation of 25% of the cost of Ukrainian agricultural machinery is an important component of the ‘Made in Ukraine’ policy aimed at supporting production, so we have budgeted UAH 1 billion for this programme this year,”said Yuliia Svyrydenko.

The largest number of applications for compensation for purchased agricultural machinery and equipment were submitted in the following regions: Poltava – 69, Kirovohrad – 63, Mykolaiv – 54, Cherkasy, Dnipropetrovsk, Odesa – 42, Sumy – 39, Ternopil – 38.
In total, agricultural enterprises have purchased 859 pieces of Ukrainian-made machinery and equipment worth UAH 913.6 million over the course of the programme.
