In January-October 2024, the Export Credit Agency (ECA) supported UAH 6.59 billion worth of exports. This was announced by First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy of Ukraine Yuliia Svyrydenko.
“Thanks to the Made in Ukraine economic policy, support for Ukrainian producers supplying their products to foreign markets is growing. Over the first ten months of this year, the Export Credit Agency has financed exports by a third more – UAH 6.59 billion compared to UAH 4.99 billion over the same period last year. Thanks to cooperation with the ECA, businesses reduce their own risks and get opportunities to reduce loan rates. This significantly strengthens Ukraine’s export potential,” said Yuliia Svyrydenko.
This year, ECA has supported businesses from 19 regions of Ukraine and Kyiv. The leaders in terms of supported exports were:
Most Ukrainian exporters who benefited from the ECA’s support shipped their products to Poland (UAH 1.62 billion), the United Arab Emirates (UAH 860 million) and Azerbaijan (UAH 831.7 million). The most popular export groups include milk and dairy products, wood and wood products, and agro-processed products.
Background
The tools of the Export Credit Agency of Ukraine are one of the elements of the Made in Ukraine policy. Its goal is to support non-resource exports, develop production facilities and attract investment in the real sector.
