Agrarians can receive 25% compensation for the cost of purchased agricultural machinery from 86 Ukrainian manufacturers. The updated List of domestic machinery and equipment for the agricultural sector, the cost of which is partially compensated from the budget, includes products of 24 more Ukrainian manufacturers. The list now includes 7,880 items of machinery and equipment.
"Supporting Ukrainian producers and their development, stimulating demand for products manufactured in Ukraine is the basis of our state policy. One of the components of this policy is a programme of partial compensation to farmers for the cost of purchased agricultural machinery from local producers. As of today, 86 manufacturers can receive 25% compensation for agricultural machinery purchased by 86 companies, which is almost 8,000 items. That is, the number of manufacturers in the register is growing systematically. We expect that the programme will increase the demand for Ukrainian agricultural machinery, thus stimulating the growth of its production, as it was in previous years of operation of the programme. This year, we have budgeted UAH 1 billion for compensation for the purchase of Ukrainian agricultural machinery," said Yuliia Svyrydenko, First Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine and Minister of Economy.
The updated list of domestic agricultural machinery and equipment, the cost of which is partially compensated by the budget, includes the following items: tractors, tractor trailers, reapers, tillage machinery and equipment (ploughs, harrows, deep rippers, harrow cultivators, cultivators for soil surface tillage), sowing and tillage complexes, seed bins and grain storage and reloading facilities, grain drying equipment, machines for cleaning, sorting and calibration of seeds, grains and legumes, grain loaders and grain throwers, screw conveyors, bucket elevators, mineral fertiliser application machines, sprayers for chemical crop protection, trailers and bins for grain transportation, machinery and equipment for poultry farming, equipment for keeping pigs, cattle and calves, weighing equipment.
As new applications from machinery and equipment manufacturers are received and reviewed, the list will be updated. To be included in the list, a manufacturer must submit an application and supporting documents to the Ministry of Economy. Applications for inclusion of equipment in the list in the current budget period are due by 31 October.
To receive 25% compensation for the cost of purchased machinery or equipment, an agricultural producer must choose a supplier from the list on the Ministry of Economy's website, purchase the necessary machinery and submit an application and accompanying documents to an authorised bank. Currently, 31 banks participate in the programme.
The first three agricultural enterprises have already received compensation for the agricultural machinery purchased from Ukrainian producers totalling UAH 220,000. The companies operate in Dnipro, Ternopil and Cherkasy regions. The total value of the agricultural machinery they purchased is UAH 880,000.
