Made in Ukraine: Ministry of Economy and Environment paid UAH 242.4 million in compensation for Ukrainian agricultural machinery under May applications

The Ministry of Economy and Environment of Ukraine transferred UAH 242.4 million to participating banks for compensation payments under applications submitted in May within the program of compensating 25% of the cost of Ukrainian agricultural machinery and equipment.

In May, agricultural enterprises submitted 619 applications for compensation of 1,104 units of machinery and equipment worth UAH 1.17 billion (including VAT). Among the purchased equipment were seeders, cultivators, harrows, sprayers, reapers, trailed combines, tractors, trailers and semi-trailers, grain dryers, uprooters, heat generators, and other equipment of Ukrainian production.

“The program stimulates demand for Ukrainian agricultural machinery: the state compensates farmers for part of its cost, while domestic machine-building enterprises receive additional orders. Under May applications, more than 600 agricultural enterprises received compensation for equipment worth UAH 1.17 billion. These funds support Ukrainian production, secure jobs, and generate tax revenues, which is one of the key goals of the Made in Ukraine policy,” said Vitalii Kindrativ, Deputy Minister of Economy and Environment of Ukraine.

It should be recalled that in April this year, the Government expanded the program’s conditions for farmers and agro-processors in frontline regions. Now, farmers with 80% or more of their land located in combat zones can receive compensation of 40% of the cost (excluding VAT) of agricultural machinery and equipment produced in Ukraine.

Overall, from the resumption of the compensation program in April 2024 through May 2026, 11,570 agricultural enterprises purchased 19,453 units of machinery and equipment worth over UAH 14.5 billion (including VAT). The total amount of partial compensation reached almost UAH 3.05 billion. Of this, 33 frontline agricultural enterprises that purchased 110 units of machinery worth nearly UAH 55.8 million received more than UAH 22.3 million in increased (40%) compensation.

How the program works

The 25% compensation is provided for agricultural machinery and equipment that contain at least 60% Ukrainian materials and components. For certain categories — combines, tractors, self-propelled sprayers, and grain trucks — special conditions apply.

To benefit from the program of 25% cost compensation, agricultural producers must select machinery or equipment from the official List on the Ministry of Economy’s website, purchase it, and submit an application through an authorized bank. Currently, the List includes 15,624 technical product names from 172 Ukrainian manufacturers.

On the Made in Ukraine website, a catalog of Ukrainian equipment for agro-processing is presented.

Compliance of manufacturers is determined according to the criteria specified in the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine dated March 1, 2017, No. 130 (with amendments).

Manufacturers wishing to include their products in the list can apply to the Ministry of Economy and Environment by submitting an application on the official website of the Ministry.

The program is one of the tools for implementing the Made in Ukraine policy, aimed at supporting domestic production, localization, and the development of industrial potential.
