Since the beginning of the year, 12,900 agricultural enterprises have received UAH 69.6 billion in bank loans for the development of farms. Of these, 10,000 enterprises received UAH 39.4 billion in loans under the Government’s Affordable Loans at 5-7-9 programme.

Agricultural enterprises in the following regions received the largest amount of loans under various programmes:

• Kyiv region – UAH 11.6 billion (951 enterprises);
• Dnipropetrovsk region – UAH 6.4 billion (830);
• Vinnytsia region – UAH 6.1 billion (1,458),
• Cherkasy region – UAH 5.4 billion (508)
• Kirovohrad region – UAH 4.9 billion (1,705);
• Odesa region – UAH 4.5 billion (1,114).

The following regions received the most loans under the Affordable Loans at 5-7-9 programme:

• Kirovohrad region – UAH 4.16 billion (1,350 enterprises);
• Vinnytsia region – UAH 3.94 billion (1,096);
• Odesa region – UAH 3.8 billion (892);
• Kyiv region – UAH 3.7 billion (759).

Background

The Affordable Loans at 5-7-9 programme simplifies access to bank lending for micro and small businesses. Farmers can receive a loan of up to UAH 90 million. Loans are provided at 5-9% per annum, depending on the loan category and type of business entity.
