Since the beginning of the year, 5,600 agricultural enterprises have received UAH 21 billion under the Affordable Loans at 5-7-9 state programme. In total, Ukrainian farmers were paid 35.9 billion hryvnias in bank loans for farm development.

The largest volume of loans under various programmes was received by farmers in the following regions:

• Kyiv region – UAH 7.5 billion;
• Vinnytsia region – UAH 3.89 billion;
• Dnipropetrovsk region – UAH 2.86 billion;
• Kirovohrad region – UAH 2.8 billion;
• Odesa region – UAH 2.4 billion.

At the same time, agricultural enterprises from the following regions received the most funds under the Affordable Loans at 5-7-9 programme:

• Kirovohrad region – UAH 2.4 billion for 823 farms;
• Vinnytsia region – UAH 2.2 billion for 719 farms;
• Odesa region – UAH 2 billion for 549 farms;
• Kyiv region – UAH 2 billion for 446 farms.

Background

The Affordable Loans at 5-7-9 programme simplifies access to bank lending for micro and small businesses. Farmers can receive a loan of up to UAH 90 million. Loans are provided at 5-9% per annum, depending on the loan category and type of business.
