Since the beginning of the year, 944 farms participating in the Government’s Affordable Loans at 5-7-9 programme have received UAH 4.5 billion in loans.

Starting from 1 January 2025, loans under the Affordable Loans at 5-7-9 programme will be granted to agricultural producers (prolonged) provided that they have registered with the State Agency for Agrarian Policy.

In particular, the following regions received the most loans under the Affordable Loans at 5-7-9 programme:

• Chernihiv region – UAH 523.3 million (63 enterprises);
• Kyiv region– UAH 371.7 million (79);
• Odesa region – UAH 371.1 million (75);
• Vinnytsia region – UAH 340.7 million (80);
• Kirovohrad region – UAH 330.5 million (97);
• Sumy region – UAH 302.5 million (36);
• Dnipropetrovsk region – UAH 279 million (52);
• Poltava region – UAH 253 million (48).

In total, since the beginning of the year, 1,623 agricultural enterprises have taken more than UAH 9.3 billion in bank loans for development under various programmes.

As a reminder, in 2024, 13,088 agricultural enterprises received almost UAH 104.5 billion in bank loans for development. And under the Affordable Loans at 5-7-9 programme, 8,750 farms were financed for UAH 46.9 billion.

Background

Concessional financing for agricultural producers under the Affordable Loans at 5-7-9 programme in 2024-2025 is made possible by the support of the World Bank under the Ukraine Agriculture Recovery Inclusive Support Emergency (ARISE) Project. The programme facilitates access to bank lending for micro and small businesses. Farmers can receive a loan of up to UAH 90 million. Loans are provided at 5-9% per annum, depending on the loan category and type of business entity.
