    Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal, during a Government sitting on April 14, stressed that the Government continues to take measures to strengthen the fight against the pandemic and once again dwelled on the importance of complying with anti-epidemic rules.

    In particular, the Prime Minister recalled that in pursuance of the Decree of the President of Ukraine and the decision of the National Security and Defense Council, an updated National COVID-19 Preventive Vaccination Plan was approved.

    Denys Shmyhal underlined that from April 19, individual entrepreneurs and employees from the "red" quarantine zones can register for a UAH 8,000 state assistance.

    "The Ministry of Social Policy and the Ministry of Digital Transformation have shortly shaped all necessary infrastructure instruments for payments for those whose business activities have been affected as a result of increased quarantine restrictions. As well as during the strengthened quarantine in the winter, the application for the assistance can be submitted via a Diia (Action) portal or application", the Head of Government stated.

    Apart from that, the Prime Minister in the course of the Government meeting drew again the attention to the importance of complying with anti-epidemic rules and noted that several regions have already left the "red" quarantine zones.

    "This demonstrates that the adaptive quarantine model yields result. As we have emphasized: there is no point in imposing a strict lockdown in the whole country now. Responsible actions of local authorities, which promptly and understandingly responded to outbreaks on the ground, are effective," the Prime Minister underlined.
