  • Yuriy Draganchuk identifies priority areas requiring financial support in his speech to the European Parliament

    On February 27, 2023, Deputy Minister of Finance of Ukraine for European Integration Yuriy Draganchuk gave a speech to the European Parliament during the week of meetings on the topic “Supporting Ukraine – national and European responses to the budget crisis and the role of parliaments”.

    Yuriy Draganchuk highlighted the enormous damage that russia has inflicted and continues to inflict on Ukraine in the course of its full-scale armed aggression. In his speech, he outlined the main economic, financial and European integration challenges facing Ukraine, as well as the support of the European and international community and its prospects.

    During the meeting, Yuriy Draganchuk expressed gratitude to the EU for its long-term support, as well as expected financial aid in 2023. In particular, the Deputy Minister emphasized the need for financial assistance for this year, both in terms of budget financing and in the recovery and reconstruction. In addition, he noted that Ukraine has already started to implement measures to ensure that every euro of all stakeholders, including the EU, is used for its intended purpose.
