First Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Economy of Ukraine Yulia Svyrydenko held a meeting with representatives of the IT Association of Ukraine, during which the sid discussed a number of issues of the industry in the conditions of war.
"In working order, we will help solve problems. In particular, regarding the booking of specialists who are of special value to businesses. Our task is to preserve and support the IT sector as one of the most dynamic and promising, which will be of great importance after our victory in the process of rebuilding Ukraine, " the Minister of Economy underscored.
Yulia Svyrydenko noted that the state is interested in further development of the IT sphere, which, among other things, has a huge export potential. Moreoveer, after the russian invasion:
- Ukrainian IT companies kept 95% of the volume of contracts, inter alia successfully adjusted to extremely difficult conditions;
- 77% of companies gained new customers during the war. IT industry results - USD 2 billion for the 1st quarter of 2022, which is the highest export of computer services in the history of the market;
- 3% of employees of IT companies joined the Armed Forces, another 9% - became part of the global cyber front against the aggressor.
The enterprises of the sector pay UAH 222 million in taxes every month, a quarter of which did so in advance, which brought the budget an additional UAH 165 million.
