Yulia Svyrydenko meets with French President Emmanuel Macron
Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Svyrydenko met with President of France Emmanuel Macron during a working visit to Paris.
“France continues to be one of Ukraine’s key partners in countering russian aggression,” Yulia Svyrydenko emphasised.
The Prime Minister informed the French President about efforts to strategically rebuild Ukraine’s energy sector and the Regional Energy Resilience Plans, which the Government is implementing together with regions and communities.
“One element of the plan is the development of cogeneration. We agreed to establish a joint expert group involving the French President’s Special Envoy for Ukraine’s reconstruction to develop distributed generation facilities, including with the involvement of the private sector,” the Head of Government said.
During the meeting, the parties separately discussed the consequences of the russian attack on the Druzhba oil pipeline.
Yulia Svyrydenko thanked President Macron for his leadership in supporting Ukraine’s EU accession.
“Our ambition is to achieve membership by 2027,” the Prime Minister of Ukraine stressed.
