Yulia Svyrydenko: Thanks to Government's support, Ukrainian arms manufacturers have secured 162 loan agreements worth UAH 9.8 billion
Ukrainian arms manufacturers have secured UAH 9.8 billion in preferential loans thanks to Government's support. A total of 162 loan agreements have been concluded. This was announced by the Prime Minister of Ukraine, Yulia Svyrydenko.
According to her, domestic defence companies can leverage up to UAH 500 million for a term of up to five years to develop production, as well as up to UAH 100 million for three years to replenish working capital.
The funds are being channelled towards the development, manufacture, repair, modernisation and disposal of weapons, military and specialised equipment, ammunition and components.
“This is an investment in Ukraine’s capability to independently meet the needs of its Armed Forces. The sooner our arms manufacturers scale up production, the more modern weapons and military equipment the Defence Forces will receive,” emphasised Yulia Svyrydenko.
The Prime Minister added that the Government had set itself the goal of providing accessible and favourable loans to Ukrainian arms manufacturers, with a view to scaling up the industry: “We understand that this tool is working effectively. Our enemy can see and feel the results of it as well”.
