  • Yuliia Svyrydenko: Education vouchers will become fully digital
Ministry of Economy of Ukraine, posted 16 September 2024 13:54

Education vouchers from the State Employment Service will be fully digitalised and available through the Diia portal. This was announced by First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy of Ukraine Yuliia Svyrydenko during the event “Economic Policy of Ukraine. Recovery During the War” in Kyiv on 16 September.

This decision is aimed at simplifying the process of retraining and professional development for veterans, internally displaced persons, people with disabilities and citizens aged 45 and over. The Government will provide an opportunity to receive a voucher worth UAH 30,000 to acquire a new profession or improve professional skills. The service will be available entirely online.

“We are starting to work on the digitalisation of vouchers and are working on the concept. In 2023, 18,025 training vouchers were issued. Of those who completed the training, 45% found a job in a new speciality. Thanks to digitalisation, we plan to double both the number of vouchers issued and the number of people employed in 2025. This will provide even more opportunities for citizens in the labour market,” said Yuliia Svyrydenko.

The process will become much simpler and faster: there will be no need to fill out paper documents or visit a local employment office. The application will be submitted online via the Diia portal. We are working to ensure that, after entering the necessary information, the system automatically checks the data and offers training programme options. A voucher in the form of an electronic card with the amount of UAH 30,000 will be available to pay for training. The citizen will be able to choose an educational institution from the list in the application and pay for the training.
