Today, the Government has approved a model charter for fuel and energy complex entities. This is another systematic step in implementing the Government's plan to reboot management in the energy sector. This was emphasised by Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko.

"The main goal is to introduce a single model statute that complies with OECD best practices. In particular, this will allow for the implementation of modern corporate governance standards, avoiding subjective attitudes towards different companies in the sector, unifying approaches to the formation of management bodies and the definition of their powers, and increasing the transparency, accountability and overall efficiency of state-owned companies," Yulia Svyrydenko stressed.

According to her, the Government will approve similar model statutes for state-owned companies in other sectors of the economy.
