The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has adopted a decision to simplify the rules for heat and water supply companies to obtain protected electricity consumer status. This is one of the tools for implementing the Resilience Plans, aimed at ensuring the uninterrupted operation of critical infrastructure.

This was announced by Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko.

From now on, companies will not be required to provide a bank guarantee or make advance payments for electricity. It will be sufficient for them to open a special account and use it in accordance with established rules.

Provided these requirements are met, the electricity supply to such enterprises will not be interrupted or restricted.

“This mechanism will operate alongside existing regulations and help ensure the stable operation of vital enterprises and their financial stability. It will remain in effect for the duration of martial law and for an additional six months after its termination, ” the Head of Government noted.
