Yulia Svyrydenko: Government prolongs the special terms of gas supply for heat producers, which applied throughout the heating season

Department of Information and Public Communications of the Secretariat of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, posted 10 March 2026 16:34

The Government has extended the special gas supply conditions for heat producers that were in effect during the heating season. They will remain in place during the off-heating season until September 30, 2026. This was announced by Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko.

Heat supply companies will continue to receive natural gas at fixed (for the needs of the population and state institutions) rather than market prices. This will ensure their stable operation so that Ukrainian homes, hospitals, schools, and kindergartens have heat and hot water.

“The winter was colder than expected. Companies used more gas than stipulated in their contracts. Therefore, the Government has also increased the fixed gas volumes for March — up to 10% for the needs of the population and budgetary institutions. The additional volume will allow heating companies to operate stably avoiding the risk of shutdowns,” the Head of Government emphasized.

To adjust the volumes, enterprises must contact LLC “Gas supply company “Naftogaz Ukraine”by March 16.

“Amid constant russian attacks on heat-generating facilities, the state is ensuring the stable operation of the heat supply system. Enterprises will have the opportunity to smoothly complete this heating season and prepare for the next one,” Yulia Svyrydenko concluded.
