Yulia Svyrydenko: Government helps Kyiv city prepare for next winter and ensure uninterrupted heat supply
The Government is supporting Kyiv in preparing for next winter and ensuring an uninterrupted heat supply. We are working in close coordination with city authorities. We have coordinated our actions within the framework of the Resilience Plans. This was announced by Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko.
“Due to significant damage to the thermal power plant, the city must prepare its infrastructure now to ensure a stable supply of heat and electricity to residents, even under shelling. The key task is to meet the needs of all districts with alternative energy sources and protect critical facilities,” the Head of Government emphasized.
According to her, part of the work will be carried out by the State Agency for Restoration and Infrastructure Development, and part by the city using its own resources.
“For its part, the Government has already allocated UAH 987 million for priority measures and stands ready to provide full support going forward. At the same time, we expect the city to make timely decisions and organize work at facilities designated as the local authorities’ area of responsibility. All work must be done thoroughly and delivered on time,” the Prime Minister emphasized.
