Yulia Svyrydenko: Government to allocate additional UAH 3.5 billion for local road repairs
The Government will allocate an additional UAH 3.5 billion for the repair of local roads. Current repairs on all main roads are to be completed by 1 June. This was announced by Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Svyrydenko.
“The target is 10 million square metres of road surface. Priority will be given to roads with the highest traffic load, damage, and importance for logistics, defence, evacuation, and community operations,” the Prime Minister stated.
According to Yulia Svyrydenko, as of early May, major works on key international highways have already been completed.
“The State Special Transport Service continues repairs in the 40-kilometre zone near the line of contact. Work is underway on 59 sections with a total length of over 1,200 km,” the Prime Minister emphasised.
