Yulia Svyrydenko: Ukraine is prepared to receive EUR 2.7 billion under the Ukraine Facility in June
On the eve of the new plenary week, Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko held a meeting with the heads of parliamentary committees and thanked her colleagues for their support of important legislative initiatives during the previous parliamentary week—thanks to which Ukraine is preparing to receive EUR 2.7 billion in June under the Ukraine Facility.
Yulia Svyrydenko, together with the Minister of Finance, announced the EU’s decision, which paves the way for the launch of a EUR 90 billion loan for Ukraine. These funds are primarily intended for defense. At the same time, to finance the social sector going forward, it is important to meet the requirements set forth by the IMF program and Ukraine’s Action Plan under the Ukraine Facility.
“We have identified clear next steps with parliamentarians, including a list of urgent bills to be adopted in the near future,” the Head of Government reported.
