Yulia Svyrydenko, together with Interior Minister Ihor Klymenko, visited the 112 Service communication centre in Odesa

Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Svyrydenko and Minister of Internal Affairs Ihor Klymenko visited the newly operational communication centre of the 112 Service in Odesa, which now serves the southern macro-region. Such centres are already operating in Kyiv, Lviv, and Dnipro – making four in total across Ukraine.

A single call is all it takes to report an emergency. Operators quickly connect callers to the appropriate emergency services.

Since launching in July 2023, the 112 Service has processed over 11 million calls.

During the winter period, the service also handled requests from people reporting a lack of electricity and heating in their homes. The 112 number remains functional even without mobile coverage – users can connect via Wi-Fi and download the 112 Ukraine app from: https://mvs.gov.ua/112/

“Developing the 112 Service is one of the key components of Ukraine’s European integration path. The credit agreement between Ukraine and the European Investment Bank allocates EUR 40 million for the expansion of these centres. We are grateful to our partners for their support,” noted Yulia Svyrydenko.
