Yulia Svyrydenko meets with UK Ambassador Neil Crompton
Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko met with Ambassador of the United Kingdom to Ukraine Neil Crompton, and discussed key areas of bilateral cooperation, particularly in the fields of defence, economy and energy security.
The Head of Government thanked the United Kingdom for its support of Ukraine, which is based on the historic Centenary Partnership Agreement. Particular attention was paid to defence assistance, including the provision of weapons, air defence systems and training for Ukrainian military personnel.
"Our joint endeavour in defence production is successfully developing, and we look forward to further expanding this cooperation both in Ukraine and in the United Kingdom," the Prime Minister noted.
The United Kingdom's support plays a vital role in strengthening our resilience to russian aggression. The Government continues to improve its investment policy to create conditions for the implementation of defence industry projects.
During the meeting, the parties also focused on mechanisms to ensure Ukraine's financial stability, including the new IMF programme, ERA loans, and a reparations loan. The British Ambassador welcomed the adoption of the State Budget for 2026.
Separately, the Head of Government welcomed the British Government's decision to allocate additional funding to support Ukraine's energy sector amid constant hostile attacks on energy infrastructure.
The Prime Minister thanked the Ambassador for his attention to the needs of frontline regions and his efforts to support the regions most affected by the war.
