Yulia Svyrydenko: An application for divorce can be shortly submitted through Diia

Divorce will be available quickly and online. To do this, one needs to submit a divorce application via Diia. The service will become available in the app in 2026 and will be accessible for couples without minor children. These changes were approved today by the Cabinet of Ministers, as announced by Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko.  

"Previously, the procedure required multiple visits to the Civil Registry Office and paper documents. Now, this process will be simpler—no queues or unnecessary trips," the Prime Minister noted.  

According to her, after submitting the application, Diia will automatically verify the information in the registries, and the marriage will be dissolved after one month. During this period, the application can be withdrawn. The divorce certificate will also be available in the app.
