Yulia Svyrydenko discusses development of joint energy projects with President of Moldova Maia Sandu

Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko met with Moldovan President Maia Sandu during her visit to Ukraine to commemorate the 40th anniversary of the Chornobyl disaster.

“We are grateful to Moldova for our comprehensive partnership, united by a shared aspiration for membership in the European Union. We exchanged views on the progress of reforms in our countries on this path to European integration," the Head of Government noted.

The meeting participants also addressed the development of joint energy projects, including increasing electricity supply capacity, as well as advancing the Vertical Gas Corridor. Ensuring energy independence and security is crucial for our region, Yulia Svyrydenko emphasized.

Special attention was paid to the development of border and logistics infrastructure, increasing the capacity of transport routes, and expanding rail connections.
