Yulia Svyrydenko discussed new opportunities under the Made in Ukraine policy with entrepreneurs in Vinnytsia region

Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko met with business representatives from Vinnytsia region. In every region visited by the Government delegation, a meeting with the business community is a mandatory part of the itinerary. “Ukrainian manufacturers are currently sustaining the economy, creating jobs, and ensuring the resilience of communities. We discussed new opportunities under the Made in Ukraine policy with entrepreneurs from Vinnytsia region,” the Head of Government noted.

1. Energy Resilience for Businesses

One of the key issues for entrepreneurs is preparing for winter so that they can continue operating without interruption in the event of power outages. There are three programs to support the development of on-site power generation. Up to UAH 10 million at 0% interest for gas-fired generation and generators. Up to UAH 250 million at the 5-7-9 program for any energy equipment. And for large businesses, starting June 1, it will be possible to take out a loan of up to EUR 25 million at 10% per annum, also for energy needs.

2. War Risk Insurance

The war risk insurance program is moving from its launch to the first actual payouts to businesses. “For frontline regions, we have coverage of up to UAH 30 million at a cost of 0.5% of the property’s value. For the entire country, we offer partial compensation for insurance premiums of up to UAH 3 million per year, similar to the 5-7-9 program. We expect the first payments in the near future,” said Yulia Svyrydenko.

3. Development of Non-Resource Exports

According to the Prime Minister, we are launching a new initiative to stimulate exports: funding national pavilions at international trade shows. The Government will cover part of the costs incurred by exporters for participating in trade shows abroad. The Ministry of Economy, Environment and Agriculture are to shortly approve a list of eligible trade shows, at which point applications can be submitted.

4. People and the Labor Market

“We hear manufacturers’ concerns about the shortage of workers. The Ukrainian economy needs specialists, so we are developing a new employment policy and have submitted a new Labor Code to Parliament. We have launched the Experience Matters program for people aged 50+, mentoring support for youth, and are creating new opportunities for employers,” said the Head of Government. The Point of Support initiative helps preserve jobs following shelling, and through the Diia platform, a mechanism for remotely terminating employment contracts in occupied territories is already in place.
