Yulia Svyrydenko: We agreed with the business community on next steps to de-shadow and deregulate the economy

At a meeting of the Entrepreneurship Support Council, Government officials discussed with the business community the next steps to de-shadow and deregulate the economy. Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko told.

“Following the regular meeting of the Entrepreneurship Support Council, we agreed on specific actions in response to requests from the business community. Among the key priorities are further efforts to bring the economy out of the shadows, simplify regulatory procedures, and improve the business environment,” the Prime Minister noted.

Yulia Svyrydenko reported that following the Council’s previous meeting in April, the Government reviewed proposals from entrepreneurs and implemented a number of important decisions.

In particular, together with the Verkhovna Rada, we simplified procedures for defense enterprises, extended localization requirements to defense procurement, and abolished VAT on ground-based robotic systems. To support businesses in the energy sector, we launched affordable lending programs for the development of distributed generation and created conditions for the rapid connection of new capacities.

We also expanded the support package for businesses affected by russian shelling.

A new lending program will take effect on July 1, complementing existing instruments under the Made in Ukraine policy.

The Economy of the Future Strategy, developed by the Government in collaboration with the World Bank and international experts, was discussed separately. It lays the foundation for the systematic transformation of Ukraine’s economy.

“This is a shared vision for the country’s development over the next 15 years. “Our goal is to build an economy based on a strong private sector, investment, modern industry, and European standards,” said Yulia Svyrydenko. “I thank all participants for the open dialogue. It is precisely this partnership between the Government and the business community that helps the Ukrainian economy withstand challenges, recover, and grow.”
