We have coordinated actions with key ministries and the management of Naftogaz of Ukraine regarding the situation on the fuel market that has arisen in connection with military operations in the Middle East. This was announced by Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Svyrydenko.

"The Government is implementing a set of measures to stabilize the market. In particular, the state-owned company Ukrnafta will sell fuel at a minimum markup until the situation stabilizes, setting a benchmark for a fair market price under the current conditions.

Meanwhile, we're working with other fuel market players and counting on them to have a responsible and balanced pricing policy," the Head of Government said.

The Prime Minister also instructed the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine and the State Service of Ukraine on Food Safety and Consumer Protection to strengthen control over the pricing policy of operators in order to prevent unjustified markups and market manipulation by individual market participants.

"I have additionally tasked the First Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Energy, together with the Ministry of Defense, the Ministry for Communities and Territories Development, the Ministry of Economy, Environment and Agriculture, and Naftogaz, to pay special attention to ensuring key sectors. Meeting the needs of the defense sector remains an unconditional priority. At the same time, it is important to guarantee the availability of fuel and price stability for farmers, as well as sufficient resources and price stability for public transport," said Yulia Svyrydenko.

Furthermore, the Government is working with international partners to increase fuel imports to the Ukrainian market.
