Yulia Svyrydenko: 11 June to become Unmanned Systems Forces Day
Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Svyrydenko announced that, under a draft Presidential decree, 11 June will become the official Unmanned Systems Forces Day – a day honouring those who have changed the rules of the game and overturned the old theories of warfare.
Ukraine became the first country in the world to establish the Unmanned Systems Forces as a separate branch of the armed forces. The USF were the first to demonstrate how unconventional approaches can be used to defeat a nuclear empire.
The Unmanned Systems Forces have become one of the symbols of the modern Ukrainian Armed Forces and play a vital role in defending the country.
It will be a day to honour those who conduct reconnaissance, perform calculations, develop technologies, plan and carry out missions, launch systems and strike targets.
“Those who ensure the unique operation of UAVs and ground robotic systems, who destroy enemy equipment, logistics, headquarters and carry out our long-range strikes more than a thousand kilometres deep behind enemy lines, both on the frontline and beyond. You are not only destroying the enemy – you are helping the world see and believe in Ukraine,” the Prime Minister stressed.
