European Commission has launched a Ukrainian-language version of ESCO
The European Commission together with the European Education Foundation (EEF) presented a new version of the multilingual classifier of skills, competencies, qualifications and professions ESCO v.1.1 (European Skills, Competences, Qualifications and Occupations) with Ukrainian translation.
The Ukrainian version of ESCO v1.1 contains the ISCO hierarchy, names of professions, basic skills and abilities. An updated version (ESCO v1.1.1) is also expected to be released at the end of June.
Access to the classifier will facilitate the integration of Ukrainians into European education and the labor market. The classifications are aimed at organizations that are ready to use up-to-date data to facilitate the employment of people for:
• evaluation, documentation and selection of people through the online platforms Europass and Eures;
• analysis of “big data” on skills and professional trends to provide recommendations to policy makers, trainers and end-users (in Ukraine - the European Training Foundation).
To use the Ukrainian version, go to the "Downloads" section of the ESCO portal, translated with the support of the European Training Foundation as an EU agency.
In addition, the ESCO team offers technical support and assistance for any other projects related to the integration of Ukrainians into the European labor market, for assistance you should write an e-mail to EMPL-ESCO-secretariat@ec.europa. The European Training Foundation has also launched a Europass page that allows Ukrainians to write resumes in the official language.
