  • The European Union to continue to provide Ukraine with financial and technological support for the green recovery and development of Ukraine

The European Union will continue to provide Ukraine with financial and technological support for the green recovery and development of Ukraine.

Executive Vice-President of the European Commission Executive Vice-President for a Clean, Just and Competitive Transition Teresa Ribera assured of that at a meeting with Svitlana Grynchuk, Minister of Environmental Protection and Natural Resources of Ukraine.

According to Svitlana Grynchuk, the priority areas of cooperation are sustainable waste management, restoration of the water supply sector and sustainable water management.

Svitlana Grynchuk informed Teresa Ribera about key legislative initiatives and highlighted the process of preparing a draft law on the principles of green recovery. The approaches and elements of the European Green Deal and the Green Industrial Deal serve as a guide for Ukraine's post-war recovery and development of its economy and industry.

“I am grateful to Ms Teresa Ribera for the productive dialogue and support. We continue to coordinate on the European Green Deal at the political and technical levels,” said Svitlana Grynchuk.
