The European Union's political, military, and financial support for Ukraine remains unchanged. This was stated by Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal at a press conference following the 10th meeting of the EU-Ukraine Association Council.

Denys Shmyhal noted the high assessment of the Government in implementing reforms by the European partners. He stressed that our country sought to introduce effective changes within the European integration process and economic integration into the EU's Single Market and would make all necessary efforts to become a full member of the European Union after the war. The Prime Minister noted that the Government of Ukraine expected all six clusters in the EU accession negotiations to be open in 2025.

Denys Shmyhal also underlined the importance of financial support for our country and thanked the EU for its assistance in strengthening economic resilience.

"Today, the Ukraine Facility is the main financial instrument for strengthening and restoring Ukraine. Of the more than 150 requirements of the Ukraine Facility Plan for 2024-2027, 36 have already been fulfilled," the Prime Minister said.

He also stressed the importance of strengthening joint work on a legal mechanism for the full confiscation of frozen russian assets, which should become the main source of Ukraine's reconstruction.

Denys Shmyhal said that during the meeting the available tools of the Association Agreement had been discussed.

"We want to combine it with the negotiation process on Ukraine's membership in the EU. In this way, we will get a number of benefits from integration into the European internal market even before joining the community," the Head of the Ukrainian Government said. He added that this included further liberalisation of trade and maintaining its volume and dynamics. In addition, according to the Prime Minister, the Agreement between Ukraine and the EU on road freight transport is expected to extend until the end of 2025, thus allowing Ukrainian carriers to operate without the need to obtain separate permits.

"Another goal is to join the ACAA. Obtaining internal market regime with the EU in the electronic communications sector and gradual integration into the EU's Digital Single Market is also a constant priority. We are striving to join the EU's Roam Like at Home policy in the near future, as well as to obtain mutual recognition of electronic trust services," Denys Shmyhal emphasised.

On the outcomes of the meeting of the EU-Ukraine Association Council, the Joint Press Release was adopted.
