Payments of UAH 6,500 under the Winter Support scheme will be received by all eligible recipients in the near future – Government decision

A resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has regulated the issue of paying the one-off cash Winter Support assistance in the amount of UAH 6,500 in 2026 to those categories of citizens who acquired the right to it in 2025 but did not receive the funds due to the closure of the budget year.

Already paid: UAH 2.43 billion to 374,000 recipients. At the same time, payments have not yet been made to a portion of recipients. The total funding requirement to ensure payments to these recipients amounts to UAH 329,686,500 for 50,721 recipients.

In this way, the assistance will cover all 410,000 Ukrainians who were entitled to UAH 6,500 under the Winter Support programme.

To recap, those entitled to the UAH 6,500 payments include the most vulnerable categories:

  • children under guardianship or care;
  • children with disabilities in family-type children’s homes and foster families;
  • children from low-income families;
  • children and persons with Group I disabilities among internally displaced persons;
  • pensioners living alone.

In accordance with the new Government resolution, these payments will be made in full in the near future.

“Those who submitted applications on time and have an established right to the assistance from the Pension Fund of Ukraine will receive it in full in the near future. The Government’s decision will fully ensure support for vulnerable segments of the population,” noted Minister of Social Policy, Family and Unity Denys Uliutin.
