Due to the courage of the veterans we now have the opportunity to live in a modern free Ukraine. This was stated by Head of Government Volodymyr Groysman during a  ceremony of welcoming of veterans - former employees of the Secretariat of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine  that took place in an informal atmosphere in the Government Building.

 "Every day we are to thank the veterans of  World War II  for everything we have. Unfortunately, although many years have passed from that grueling time we still get information from the front.  Modern Ukraine faces many threats  caused by a new war, and we have to deal with them. Now your descendants in the east of Ukraine continue the feat that you began with valor and honor", Volodymyr Groysman said.

The Head of Government wished the veterans sound health and peace.

"Unfortunately, the country, which for a long time  has been a friendly neighbour for us, became an aggressor for Ukraine. And now, as never before, we need your experience, unity and consolidation", the Prime Minister stressed.
