From now on, active servicemen can be engaged in the work of the Ministry of Veterans' Affairs, if necessary: Presidential Decree

Certain positions in the Ministry of Veterans Affairs of Ukraine may now be filled by servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and other military formations in case of vacancy, with retention in military service and without being excluded from the personnel lists.

The relevant Decree “On Amendments to the Decree of the President of Ukraine of May 3, 2017 No. 126/2017” was signed by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

“Nothing for veterans without veterans! From now on, Ukrainian men and women veterans who are serving in the military as well as other active military personnel can be involved in the work of the Ministry of Veterans Affairs and directly participate in the development and implementation of important initiatives for the veteran community,” said Natalia Kalmykova, Minister of Veterans Affairs of Ukraine.
