The delegation was led by Deputy Minister of Social Policy Iryna Postolovska. Government Commissioner for Gender Policy Kateryna Levchenko participated in the event online.
The main goal of the Beijing+30 Regional Review Meeting is to develop recommendations and European input to the global review of the implementation of the Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action on gender equality, which will be considered in 2025 at the 69th session of the UN Commission on the Status of Women.
The round table discussed the status of implementation of the Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action in Ukraine; their importance for Ukraine and the formation of coalitions in Ukraine’s support, especially among civil society organisations from other countries; and the next practical steps to ensure gender equality and women’s rights.
