The issues of strengthening sanctions pressure against the aggressor state and supporting the private sector during the recovery were among the main topics discussed during the meeting between Yuliia Svyrydenko, First Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine and Minister of Economy of Ukraine, and Bridget Brink, U.S. Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Ukraine.

"Ukraine is grateful to the United States for its significant role in imposing sanctions against russia and coordinating the international sanctions policy against the aggressor. We are convinced that sanctions pressure on russia and its isolation are an integral part of our future victory. Therefore, we must strengthen them until the terrorist state loses the ability to continue its aggressive war," said Yuliia Svyrydenko.

According to the First Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine, one of the key tasks today is to destroy the capabilities of the russian military-industrial complex to produce weapons, especially high-tech ones. Ukraine is attacked almost daily by russian missiles containing, among other things, components of non-russian origin. Thus, it is imperative to strengthen efforts to prevent the circumvention of sanctions.

Another important topic of the meeting was the reconstruction of the country. The parties addressed the issue of attracting private investment needed to support Ukraine's economy and to ensure the country's rapid recovery in the post-war period. First of all, it was about expanding cooperation in the field of war risk insurance and attracting funding to increase the capacity of the national Export Credit Agency.
