Veterans who have completely or partially lost their sight while defending Ukraine are eligible to receive up to 95,000 UAH in targeted assistance. Applications open today, as announced by Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko.

Funds from the Red Cross will be deposited into special accounts from August 1 through October 30, 2026. These funds can be used to improve daily living conditions and create a more comfortable and safe living environment.

“There are 26 types of household appliances to choose from, which will help make daily life more independent and convenient. The list includes specialized assistive devices: smartphones with screen-reading features, adaptive household appliances, and special navigation systems,” said the Head of Government.

Applications can be submitted in person, through an authorized representative, by mail, or online to the department responsible for veteran policy at the applicant’s place of residence (for internally displaced persons—at their current address).
