Over the past few weeks, with the support of the Minister of Economic Development, Trade and Agriculture of Ukraine Ihor Petrashko as well as investment promotion office UkraineInvest it became possible to attract 7 new US investors interested in potential investments in Ukraine.
At present, The Ministry is currently holding active talks with investors, some of which were held in the format of a ZOOM conference with the participation of Minister Ihor Petrashko, Advisor to the Minister of Economic Development, Trade and Agriculture and Member of the Supervisory Board of UkraineInvest Alexa Chopivsky and investors, including the former CEO of the equity capital market (ECM) for General Electric Capital and General Electric Ventures, who is interested in establishing a $ 50 million investment fund in Ukraine.
"Ukraine traditionally has a huge production, natural and human potential. Thus, it can be interesting for many investors in many sectors, including industry, agriculture, IT and others. And economic plunge taking place all over the world due to the pandemic can be a starting point for rethinking, for finding new ideas and new investment opportunities," the Minister of Economic Development, Trade and Agriculture underscored.
Ihor Petrashko added that the legislative changes, which will be shortly adopted in Ukraine in the near future, are designed to provide additional benefits and advantages for new investors, which will also increase the investment attractiveness of our country.
"We want to support investors and create the best conditions for them in Ukraine," the Minister stressed.
In turn, the US potential investors assured their interest and vision of prospects in Ukraine. At present, they stand ready to hold detailed talks with Ukrainian business partners.
According to Alexa Chopivsky, due to active cooperation between the Ministry of Economic Development, Trade and Agriculture and the UkraineInvest Office, it became possible to start discussions with 7 American investors, in particular, in such areas as pharmaceutical production, automobile production, defence production, film industry, bioenergy, investment funds.
The Ministry of Economic Development, Trade and Agriculture in synergy with UkraineInvest is keen on and continue active work on finding and inviting new investments in Ukraine.
