Ongoing repairs of public roads commence in Ukraine as Government increases scope and funding
Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko announced that priority road repairs covering a total area of over 3.5 million square meters were currently underway. "This is not about major repairs, but rather operational repairs of road surfaces in priority areas where weather conditions already allow it. First and foremost, these are international and national routes that provide military logistics, evacuation, delivery of humanitarian cargo, life support for communities, and the operation of critical infrastructure, including in frontline communities," the Head of Government said.
According to her, more than 140 teams are currently involved, which is almost 1,000 workers.
“The Government will further increase the volume of road repairs and funding,” Yulia Svyrydenko emphasized.
