Minister of Defence of Ukraine Stepan Poltorak has met with Gavin Williamson, UK Secretary of State for Defence on the sidelines of NATO Summit in Brussels, today, July 12.

The two defence leaders exchanged views on the needs to develop the defence cooperation. The issue of enhancing cooperation between the Naval Forces and the Air Forces of both countries was of concern.

Given the agreements already reached, there is an interest to cooperate in the domain of defence procurement and defence-industrial cooperation.

In general, the parties agreed it was reasonable to discuss areas of defence cooperation deeply.

The British party is about to explore the possibility to schedule a visit to Ukraine during the celebration of the Independence Day in Ukraine.
