The content of the Agreement on conditions for the use of the Slovak Republic's airspace at Uzhgorod International Airport was agreed. This was announced by Minister of Infrastructure of Ukraine Vladyslav Kryklii following the outcomes of bilateral negotiations.

On December 17 and 18, 2019, bilateral talks between the delegations of Ukraine and the Slovak Republic concerning harmonization of texts of the draft Intergovernmental Agreement on conditions for the use of a designated part of the Slovak Republic's airspace to service air traffic by the Ukrainian providers of air navigation services at Uzhgorod International Airport were held.

The Ukrainian side was headed by Andrii Galuschak, State Secretary of the Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine, and the Slovak side was led by Mário Németh, Director General of the Civil Aviation Directorate of the Ministry of Transport and Construction of Slovak Republic.

The parties discussed the provisions of the Agreement in depth and agreed on the draft version of the Agreement.

In order to be inked by officials designated by the respective governments, the Agreement is subject to national approval procedures, in accordance with the procedures for the official functioning of international agreements existing in each country.

The Minister of Infrastructure of Ukraine Vladyslav Kryklii stated that the Ukrainian side will shortly ensure the completion of domestic conciliation procedures and counts on the same actions of the Slovak side. The Minister emphasized that during the visit of President of Slovakia Zuzana Čaputová to Ukraine on September 16, 2019, the Heads of State confirmed the necessity to intensify the work of the parties in order to conclude the relevant Agreement as soon as possible.
