Government approved the Procedure for using budget funds to honor the memory of the fallen Male and Female Defenders of Ukraine

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine approved the Procedure for using the funds provided in the state budget to honor the memory of the fallen (deceased) Male and Female Defenders of Ukraine. In addition, the resolution actually launched the functioning of the Ukrainian Veterans Fund.

"We understand the importance of ensuring the implementation of state policy, in particular, during the martial law in Ukraine," said Minister for Veterans Affairs of Ukraine Yulia Laputina. "Adoption of this resolution launched the functioning of the Ukrainian Veterans Fund. Budget funds will be directed to implement measures to honor the memory of the fallen and deceased Defenders of Ukraine."

It should be noted that the main manager of budget funds and the responsible executor of the budget program is the Ministry of Veterans Affairs. The Ministry will also be responsible for monitoring, analysis and control over the implementation of measures in the areas of use of budget funds.

It should be noted, on March 11, the Government approved the Procedure for use of the means provided in the state budget for the functioning of the Ukrainian Veterans Fund. It determines the mechanism of use of funds, the rights and conditions of obtaining funding, the procedure for conducting tenders and reporting, as well as the peculiarities of work during martial law in Ukraine.
