The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has approved the Procedure and conditions for the provision of subventions from the state budget to local budgets for the restoration of critical infrastructure facilities within the framework of the joint project with the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (IBRD) Second Urban Infrastructure Project (UIP-2). The relevant draft resolution was adopted by the Government at a meeting on November 15.

"Currently, among the priorities of the Government is the speedy restoration of critical infrastructure in the regions affected by the russian aggression. The decision made today will allow communities to restore and modernize damaged facilities, in particular water supply, sewage, heating and waste management companies. This, in turn, will contribute to the provision of high-quality housing and communal services to consumers," said Acting Minister of Development of Communities and Territories of Ukraine Vasyl Lozynskyy.

The draft resolution provides for the distribution of more than UAH 1.66 billion of subventions from the state budget to local budgets within the framework of the project Second Urban Infrastructure Project.

Earlier, the Government approved the Procedure for the elaboration of programmes for the comprehensive restoration of territories.
