On November 29, at a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, the Resolution On Amendments to the Procedure for National Topographic and Thematic Mapping was adopted.

The draft act was developed with the aim of legal regulation of the creation of topographic maps to provide the Armed Forces of Ukraine and other military formations formed in accordance with the laws of Ukraine, taking into account the requirements established for topographic maps used by the armed forces of NATO member states.

The adoption of the resolution will allow the Ministry of Defense to organize the preparation of topographic maps in the world geodetic system WGS-84 using the mathematical basis and other elements of topographic maps used by the armed forces of NATO member states and provide them to the defense forces of Ukraine, thereby facilitating the effective use of modern weapons and military equipment, effective repulse of russian invaders.
