The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine approved all the decisions necessary to prevent the rise of electricity prices from July 1- the day of the launch of the electricity market. Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman announced on the air of the Vita TV channel (Vinnytsia).

"In 2017 the Parliament adopted a law on the electricity market. The Government is obliged to take all measures to ensure that the launch of the market from July 1. But, we should prevent rising electricity prices for population and industry which is our growth factor. And we took all the necessary decisions to prevent price hike for the population and limit growth for the industry. These are government decisions. Independent regulators must also approve its decisions as well as what the government decree. As a result there won’t be increase of prices", Volodymyr Groysman assured.
