The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine approved the decision to increase wages for coaches of children's and youth sports schools by 20-70% since January 1, 2020. Such a step is part of a general Government policy to increase the incomes of educators and to balance the imbalances in the pay for teachers in general schools as well as sports coaches. Besides, it creates the basis for the implementation of another line of work - the development of children's sports, in particular through the building up of a network of sports schools, swimming pools, complexes and school playgrounds.

Earlier, the Head of Government noted that the planned salary increase would be the support, first of all, for young professionals. "It will be fair and decent", the Prime Minister said.

Apart from that, today, the Government also approved the decision to increase scholarships for outstanding and promising athletes, to launch an Olympic springboard diving training center, and to develop a logistical base for Paralympic sports.
