The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine at the meeting on October 31 approved the signing of the Agreement on cooperation in the field of culture and art between the Government of Ukraine and the Government of Kuwait. The draft decree  was developed by the Ministry of Culture of Ukraine pursuant to the Action Plan for implementation of the agreements reached during the official visit of President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko to the State of Kuwait on March 18-19, 2018.

The agreement will step up further developing  and strengthening of friendly relations between Ukraine and Kuwait, deepening  of cultural cooperation, intensifying  cultural dialogue between the two countries, promoting  the culture of both countries and creating the basis for exchange of experience in the field of culture and art.

In accordance with the Agreement, the parties will facilitate the establishment of direct contacts between experts in the fields of literature, art, cinema, museum affairs, library business, theater and other cultural spheres. They will also encourage the exchange of visits of music, choreographic and folklore bands and performers between the two countries as well as the exchange of experts and specialists.

The signing ceremony of the agreement will take place during the fourth meeting of the Intergovernmental Ukrainian-Kuwaiti commission on economic, technical and trade cooperation scheduled for November 6-8, 2018 in Kuwait City.
