Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal is committed to repay wage arrears to workers of a state-owned machine-building enterprise Pivdenmash as soon as possible. The PM made this statement during a regular Government session on August 26.
On the outcomes of the meeting the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine approved the procedure for using the funds provided in the State Budget for financial support of the state enterprise “Production Association Pivdennyi Machine-Building Plant named after O.M. Makarov". The Government decision will enable the enterprise to pay off arrears of wages to employees, to pay a single contribution to the obligatory state social insurance, as well as certain taxes and fees.
"Today, under commission of the President, we have resolved this issue. The decision is of paramount importance in the context of the already adopted law. I expect that in the near future the arrears of wages to Ukrainian engineers and workers will be repaid, " the PM Denys Shmyhal underscored.
