The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine supported the initiative of the Ministry of Health to extend the list of healthcare facilities that treat patients with COVID-19.
The relevant decision was made at a meeting of the Government on May 27.
"The initiative is to enlarge the list of healthcare facilities that provide inpatient care to patients with COVID-19. These are the facilities that have provided such assistance since April 1, 2020, and have not been included in it," said Minister of Health Maxym Stepanov.
According to the data included in the resolution, the list of medical institutions was expanded from 339 to 449 institutions. Thus, the final text of the resolution will be ready after making amendments the following day.
Moreover, at the Government meeting, the ministers supported the initiative of the Ministry of Health to finance under a program of medical guarantees two healthcare facilities located in Kyiv. In particular, these are the Kyiv City Clinical Ophthalmological Hospital “Eye Microsurgery Center” and the Kyiv City Center for Reproductive and Perinatal Medicine, regarding which the Kyiv City Council has not decided on autonomisation.
Such an exemption will apply only until December 31, 2020, while the Kyiv City State Administration is proposed to commission to take measures to transform these institutions into municipal non-profit enterprises.
Another resolution adopted during the Gov’t sitting was to provide for other conditions of advance payment for goods, works and services purchased at the expense of the budget for specialized organizations that purchase medicines, including vaccines and other products and services. The resolution is necessary to ensure the centralized procurement of medicines by specialized organizations.
